Jushi Highlighted New Products at ACMA

At the ACMA show last week, Jushi highlighted 3 newly innovated products for the North America market.

These products were thermoset direct roving for Pultrusion 312T, which they say is suitable for high performance applications such as sucker rods and electrical equipment, and thermoplastics TP Chopped Strands (Flame retardant 568FR) and LFT 362K for Long Fiber Thermoplastic applications.

Jushi explain that Pultrusion 312T has good process performance because it is compatible with a variety of resins as well as saturating fast and completely. They say that FRP products pultruded with 312T have excellent mechanical performance, can significantly improve cost-effectiveness and reduce manufacturing costs of the downstream manufactures. The introduction of the high performance pultrusion roving can expand Jushi’s product applications in high-end markets.

568FRChopped strands are coated with a silane-based sizing, which Jushi explain makes them especially suitable for reinforcement of PA resin containing halogen-free flame retardant additives.

According to Jushi, their Direct Roving 362K is coated with a silane-based sizing, compatible with polypropylene (PP) resin. They say Direct Roving 362K provides high permeability with PP resin to make it suitable for the LFT process.

The North America Market is the largest overseas market for Jushi and in 2011 they acquired Gibson Fiberglass to establish Jushi USA in order to provide better products and service to the US market.
