The Research Centre of Electric Energy (CEPEL) in partnership with Brazilian Association of Wind Energy (ABEEolica) will be hosting the course ‘Wind Blades and Turbines: project, construction, operation and maintenance’ targeting wind energy industry professionals from companies like Eletrobras, Furnas, Chesf, Eletrosul, Eletronorte, Petrobras, Itaipu Binacional, Eletronuclear, Energisa, WEG among others.
The event aims to discuss structural analysis, composite construction, design and preventive maintenance.
Jorge Nasseh, Barracuda Group’s CEO, will be running a lecture about Mechanics of Composites and uncertainties in the use of vacuum infusion method in blade production. The course will also have lectures of Bento Koike, founder and former CEO of Tecsis, one of the largest wind blade manufacturers on the planet.
It is a very important event for Brazilian renewable energy community headed by CEPEL when the country reached over 7 thousand turbines spread in 601 wind farms in 12 states. The market is giving positive signs in the energy industry, with sustainability and clean energy as global priority.
