Johns Manville has introduced StarRov 908, developed for high speed pultrusion applications and part of JM’s StarRov product line offering rovings for a wide range of industry applications.

StarRov 908 has been designed with a package of surface sizings to improve the coupling with a variety of resin systems such as unsaturated polyester, vinylesters and epoxies. JM say that StarRov 908 will also help reduce fuzz generation and fibre breaks during the pultrusion process.

“The new and enhanced products in our portfolio represent the innovative energy JM has around creating additional value for our customers,” said Per-Olof Algotsson, European Reinforcements business director for Johns Manville’s Engineered Products Group.

“This key innovation is one more example of how JM partners with our customers to help them drive growth and productivity in their competitive arena. This also demonstrates our continued commitment to the composites business in this time of changing industry structure,” said Michael Huff, vice president and general manager of Johns Manville’s Engineered Products Group Global Reinforcements business.

StarRov 908 is manufactured at John Manville’s Trnava facility.
