Johns Manville (JM) recently received another new approval by Germanisher Lloyd (GL) for glass fibres to be used in wind turbine blades.

According to JM, StarRov 076 direct roving is used to reinforce the product range in NCF (Non-Crimped Fabrics) and weaving processes

JM explains that this new approval confirms that their StarRov product line continues to meet the most stringent quality standards in the market. The company places tremendous importance on supporting the European weaving industry as evidenced by its continuous efforts as an independent glass fibre manufacturer to provide high-quality products and services to its customers.

Both StarRov 086 and 076 are used in wind turbines and are also suitable for marine and industrial applications. JM claims the products are particularly suitable for the resin infusion process due to their good wetting characteristics and excellent fatigue behaviour in epoxy systems.
