The 10th edition of JEC Asia, taking place on 1-3 November in Seoul, Republic of Korea, will feature conferences especially designed for the Asian composites markets.
“The success of JEC conferences worldwide lies in two simple facts,” comments Frédérique Mutel, JEC Group President and CEO. “Firstly, 100% of the content is designed according to the needs and concerns of local markets and industries. JEC Composites experts all over the world are studying every market specifically to propose a custom-made programme all year long. Secondly, we partner with local specialists to fine-tune each topic.”
More than 40 speakers, mainly from Asia, but also Europe and America, will take the stage in November at the COEX Centre of Seoul to present their papers to an international audience.
The first day of the event is dedicated to the 12th International Carbon Festival (ICF) which JEC Asia is hosting for the first time. Featured speakers come from Australia, Germany, Korea, China, France and Singapore, from companies including SGL Group, KCTECH, Saertex, Chomarat and Hankuk Carbon. The use of carbon in automotive will be a focus.
On the second day, JEC will partner with KATECH (Korea Automotive Technology Institute) to present the topic ‘Automotive: novelties in structural and semi structural applications,’ featuring speakers from Hyundai Motor Group, Renault Samsung Motors and Hanwha Advanced Materials. The second part of the day, supported by KITECH and ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute), will focus on the future of composites in IT and E&EE.
The final day of conferences will focus on ‘Developing automated processes in aeronautics’ with Boeing as one speaker, while the afternoon session will address the topic ‘Sports & leisure: can composite materials do better?’, featuring COBRA International, ESI Group, Munich Composites, and Hanyang University.
