At its close last Thursday, the JEC Composites Show had recorded 27,336 visitors from all over the world, an increase of 7.2% over last year.

Exhibit-wise, the show increased its surface area with a third hall (+12%) and registered a number of more than 1,000 participating companies. “The sheer diversity of the programmes inspired tremendous enthusiasm,” declared JEC Group President and CEO Frédérique Mutel. The exhibit component – for which the surface area had to be increased to 40,000 square metres (430,556 square feet) – was jam packed! The JEC Composites Show is proof of the industry’s resolve to have a world-class platform that exhibits all composites, including thermosetting materials and thermoplastics, all types of resins and fibres, high technology and high-volume markets, and where users can find the entire range of composite solutions. We are proud to serve such an industry that has created so much value to its customers and has grown at 8% p.a. between 2002 and 2007 to reach 53 Billions euros”.

Exhibitors and visitors alike appreciated the business activity, the innovations, the Show’s structure and layout, and its two special exhibits: the Design Expo and the Innovation Showcase, the technical conferences and the end-users Forums.

In 2008, the JEC Group will be developing its innovation theme “Meeting the world’s innovation” all year long, with two highlights: the JEC Composite Show Paris on April 1-3, 2008, and the JEC Composite Show Singapore on October 22-24, 2008.
