ITW Plexus are exhibiting at Innotrans exhibition in Berlin, Germany, sharing space on the UK Trade and Investment stand, between the 18th and 21st September, 2012.

ITW explains that it will be highlighting the benefits and savings that major Rail manufacturers are achieving by using its latest high performance range of methacrylate adhesives to bond many dissimilar materials. It says these special adhesives are facilitating faster and easier assembly and produce durable high-strength bonds to virtually all resins and gel coats, as well as most thermoplastics and metals.  They are used to bond floors, roof fairings, cab mouldings, draught screens and standbacks amongst many other applications.

According to ITW, its patented adhesive technology will chemically fuse composite materials and produce bonds so strong that the substrates will delaminate before the bond fails. By eliminating the need for surface preparation and curing rapidly at room temperature, Plexus says its adhesives can simplify and shorten assembly times, taking cost out of the finished product.

Staff from ITW Plexus Europe will be available throughout the show on stand 215/L, to discuss the benefits and savings their technologies can offer manufacturers and suppliers into the rail industry
