Julian Reed, Member of Parliament for Halton, on behalf of Industry Minister Allan Rock, announced a $7-million strategic repayable Technology Partnerships Canada investment with Comtek Advanced Structures Ltd.

This will help the company undertake research that will advance the Canadian design and manufacture of aircraft structural parts and assemblies made from advanced composite materials.

“”This project will establish Comtek as a world-class supplier in the design and series manufacturing of advanced composite structures and assemblies which play an increasingly important role in airframe construction,”” said Mr. Reed. “”Through this program, we are building our Canadian aerospace industry – one of the most innovative drivers of our economy.””

“”Technology Partnerships Canada investments are helping Canadian businesses develop innovative products and processes that increase economic growth, create high-quality jobs, and support sustainable development,”” said Minister Rock. “”These investments support our longer term strategy and play a key role in building a more innovative Canada.””
