Interplastic and Dow Increase Resin Prices

The Dow Chemical Company and Interplastic Corporation’s Moulding Products Division (MPD) have increased their Resin Prices.

Effective October 1, 2004, or as contract terms allow, Dow Epoxy Products and Intermediates (EP&I) will be increasing its prices for epoxy resins in North America.

Price increases of between $0.08/lb and $0.10/lb will be incurred for different resins available from Dow, so customers are advised to contact Dow for detailed information.

The increases are in addition to those previously announced in July (effective August 1, 2004) which included Dow’s full line of epoxy resins and hardeners.

Interplastic Corporation’s Molding Products Division (MPD) are to increase prices of its full line of engineered SMC products was being increased by $0.05 per pound. The price will go into effect on shipments on or after September 30, 2004.
