Institute Awards and Prizes for 2006 Open for Nominations

Nominations are invited for the UK’s Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining Medals and Awards for 2006, including the Holliday Prize for personal achievement in composites and the Composites Award for published work.

Except where specified, nominees may be members or non-members of the Institute and nationals of any country. Self nominations are not acceptable. Certain awards are intended for younger candidates. Awards are not made posthumously or to long retired individuals. Proposers should note that several of the awards are not restricted to a particular material or technology.

Proposers should note the requirements for citations given on the nomination form, and that only properly completed nomination forms will be included in the assessment process. Citations are required for all awards, including those for published work. Any nomination without a citation will be returned.

The awards approved for 2006 will be presented on suitable occasions during the year.

The deadline for nominations is 20 December 2005 and the application form for nominations is available here
