Huber Engineered Materials is increasing the price of its industrial calcium carbonate products, not including its food and USP calcium carbonate grades, effective December 1, 2012, or as current contracts allow.

Prices will increase an average of four to nine percent depending on product grade and packaging.

“Huber continues to increase productivity and processing efficiencies to minimize the impact of rising costs for materials, packaging, environmental compliance, product development and freight,” says David Riley, Vice President and General Manager of Huber’s Calcium Carbonate business unit. “Despite these efforts, a price adjustment has become necessary to offset the cost increases in our business.”
