This year’s High-Performance Fibers 2009 conference will be held from Nov. 17-18, 2009, at the Doubletree Guest Suites Historic Charleston Hotel.

This international conference is designed for executives from leading manufacturers of high-performance fibres, such as para-aramids, high-performance polyethylenes and S2® glass, as well as end users, such as OEMs, DoD and other research labs, and composites parts manufacturers. Discussions will cover the diverse business opportunities and technical challenges that lie ahead in high-growth applications such as body and vehicular armour, high-performance rope and cordage and sporting goods, as well as in the blast-resistance, fire resistance, marine, aviation and aerospace markets.

More than 100 marketing executives, business development specialists, technical directors and industry experts are expected again at this year’s event in downtown Charleston where they explored the latest market trends by application and region, as well as the most recent technical information on ballistic and high temperature fibre applications.

In addition, there will be one preconference seminar the morning of Nov. 17 to focus on the latest market developments and technology, as well as numerous networking opportunities at a catered reception, roundtable luncheon, and refreshment breaks.
