Hexcel will promote its latest composites technologies for space applications at the Toulouse Space Show on 26-28 June.

Hexcel will feature a number of 3D-printed flight-ready carbon fibre parts manufactured from HexAM additive manufacturing technology, combining high performance PEKK thermoplastics with aerospace grade carbon fibre. HexPEKK structures are reported to offer significant weight, cost and time-to-market reductions, replacing traditional cast or machined metallic parts in highly demanding aerospace, satellite and defence applications.

Other Hexcel solutions for space applications include carbon fibre, prepregs and honeycomb materials with proven performance for satellite structures and launchers.
