Hexagon’s Devold AMT secures NOK22m Airbus contract

BR> Devold AMT, a subsidiary of the Norwegian components manufacturer Hexagon Composites ASA, has secured a NOK22m development contract from the aircraft parts maker Airbus UK.

The three-year contract focuses on the development of carbon fibre reinforcement for the new Airbus A380 aircraft. The development and testing process is also expected to certify Devold AMT as an aerospace supplier. Commercial production is expected to begin in the second half of 2003.
