The complete process line incorporates thermal systems including oxidation ovens, carbonisation furnaces and a UHT (Ultra High Temperature) furnace system, surface treatment, sizing application, handling equipment, gas treatment, and advanced control systems. Harper says the Microline will be customised to support the client’s advanced fibre development program for carbon fibre research.
Harper claims the client chose its technology as a result of the Microline’s advanced design features that enable future scale up of the material more effectively than any other system on the market.
