Gurit to Present Engineered Structures Business Unit for First Time

Guritisto exhibit at the Composites Engineering Show this week, and will be showcasing its capabilities in engineering, materials science, prototyping and manufacturing under its recently launched Business Unit, Engineered Structures.

Joe Summers, Director of Business Development comments, “As our first opportunity to present the Engineered Structures business unit we’re looking forward to meeting customers from all markets and demonstrating how engineering, materials and prototyping can combine to find solutions to the most challenging composite applications”.

Gurit will also be presenting two papers at the exhibition. Mr Mal Wadia, Composite Design Engineer at Gurit UK will be presenting a paper titled, ’Composite Blades for Tidal Turbines Versus Wind Turbines at Multi-Megawatt Scale’, on Wednesday 9th November, in the open forum 2, session 1, slot, 10.00 – 11.00. Dr Mark Hobbs, Senior Engineer at Gurit UK will be presenting a paper titled, ‘Engineering of a composite shell structure for the top of the world’s second tallest building’, on Wednesday 9th November, in open forum 2, session 2, 12.40 -13.00.

Gurit can be found on stand1132at the Composites Engineering Show, 9th – 10th November at the NEC.
