Gurit will be showcasing its latest product innovations for the Automotive and Defence industries at Composites Europe, from 7-9th October 2014 in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Gurit explains it will launch its full range of Automotive composite materials designed for a variety of applications, both structural and cosmetic.

According to Gurit it will be focusing on providing a range of prepreg solutions for Cosmetic and Press moulding applications. For higher temperature Cosmetic Carbon applications up to a 160°C, Gurit will highlight SC 160 prepreg, for use in autoclave, using the same unique chemistry as Gurit’s SC 110 Cosmetic Carbon Prepreg. Gurit will also launch SE 160 prepreg, suitable for high volume compression moulding techniques, offering fast/ snap cure with hot in / out processing.

Gurit also states it will be launching its ballistic protection prepreg PF700, at this year’s Composites Europe. The need to reduce the weight of armoured vehicles has led to the use of composites within this market. With this in mind Gurit’s PF700 has been developed to meet FST requirements and conforms to the threat levels required by this market. PF700 is suitable for production of flat panels in a press moulding process or for more complex parts by autoclave.

Staff from Gurit’s EMEA sales and technical teams are available on the stand to discuss the latest products and projects. To find out more visit stand B12 (Hall 8B).
