Composites One has joined together with Gurit to launch a newly developed range of blade repair materials.
Composites One say that the range will be specifically designed for repair, possess the appropriate approval by GL, DNV, and/or OEM, and be available to all developed wind resource states in the US at very short lead times and competitive prices.
Alongside this, Composites One and Gurit are also launching a product selection guide that will detail the range of materials used to repair the most commonly found damage to in-service blades. The guide contains detailed guides to repairing in-field blades as well as recommended materials. Compiled by Gurit and Composites One, the guide is based upon the combined experience of the two companies who have supplied materials and technology into the wind energy market for 15 years, and more specifically to American blade repair applications for the past 18 months.
Composites One and Gurit launched this new range of materials and the selection guide at the AWEA convention in Houston, Texas, 1st to 4th June 2008.
