Ron Adams, Vice President of Technical Sales for Gibson Fiberglass, is set to present information regarding a collaborative Environmental Stewardship program between Gibson and Jushi on Wednesday, February 10.

The presentation will take place at 10:30am in Mandalay Bay North Convention Center Mariners B Room, and will include data related to energy reduction, water reclamation, emission reductions, and the elimination of post industrial fibreglass waste.

Subjects to be discussed in the review will include the manufacture of the new E6 Enhanced Glass Fibres, which have achieved lowered emissions

Jushi report that technology put in place at their manufacturing facilities have saved the equivalent of 66,000 tons of standard coal in 2008.

“As with other major industrial countries in the world, China is working to improve air and water quality and reduce waste from manufacturing,” according to Adams. “Gibson/Jushi has received awards from the Chinese government, recognizing our efforts to significantly reduce our environmental footprint, and impact on the environment.”
