Gearing Scientific Ltd have expanded their capability in thermal conductivity testing, so that they are now able to test solid polymer, ceramic or composite samples up to a mean T of 250degC.

They can also test polymers in the melt up to a mean T of 190degC or 200degC, on samples from 2mm to 25mm thickness, up to 150degC for 50mm thick samples and up to 80degC for 100mm thick ones.

Gearing say that their laboratory in Ashwell is now bursting at the seams so they will be looking to move into larger premises later this year.
