Huntsman Corporationare increasing the price of all grades of Irogran, Irocoat, Irodur and Krystalgran thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPU) products by up to 0.20 Euro/kg or 0.10 USD/lb on a worldwide basis, effective immediately or as contracts allow.
Interplastic Corporation’s Thermoset Resins Division is raising the prices of CoREZYN and Simlar brand products $0.09 per pound for shipments on or after October 29, 2005. This includes all vinyl ester, polyester, specialty resins, gel coats, colorants, and is in addition to previously announced increases.
The Epoxy Products and Intermediates (EP&I) business of ,b>The Dow Chemical Company will increase prices for all grades of epoxy resins sold in North America by US$0.05/lb.
Effective October 24, 2005, LANXESS Deutschland GmbH is to increase its prices for Pocan (PBT), Durethan (PA6, PA66) compounds and Durethan (PA6) film, extrusion grades and base resins worldwide by EUR 0.15 per kilogram. In certain regions the price raise will be higher. The reasons for this step are the increasing cost of raw materials and the rising costs of energy and transport. Areas of application for the engineering plastics Durethan and Pocan include the automotive industry, electrical engineering, electronics and the domestic sector.
