Formax has recently installed a new multiaxial machine and a laminating line which are both now in production.

According to Formax, their specially developed Karl Mayer Carbon Malitronic Multiaxial machine has a variable width from 1000mm to 1600mm that allows for unique new lightweight constructions to be made with minimised waste. Formax has also recently installed a new laminating line that they say will combine surface veils with existing fabrics for applications that require demanding surface finishes such as Class A surfaces for automotive panels.

Formax say they have New Constructions now available and these will be showcased at Composites Europe. These include:

– Laminated surface veils for Class A surface finishes
– Lightweight 0/90 fabrics
– Ply Orientations from +/-30
– Balanced Biaxials (+/-/+) from 200gsm to ensure symmetrical fabrics

Formax can be found in Hall 4, stand E30 at the show.
