Formaplex has secured the AS9100C accreditation for manufacturing and machining composite components for aerospace, defence and space industries.

Formaplex explains that achieving the AS9100C accreditation will increase its business potential and further approval within these sectors. Formaplex says the award is an acknowledgement of their complete quality management systems and underscores their ability to manufacture products to meet customer and regulatory requirements.

A NADCAP level 8 climate controlled clean room has recently been approved and a new Maroso 6m x 3m autoclave for curing large composite components supports our manufacturing capacity for existing and potential customers within aerospace, defence, automotive and motorsport industries.

Recent investments includes a Belloti 5 axis CNC milling machines for precision engineering of tooling and large composite and aluminium components, such as wing structures, up to 4m in length. The additional machinery has increased production capacity which already extends to 24/7 operations to meet time critical delivery schedules.

Managing Director, Michael Last comments “Our objective is to meet or exceed the high standards demanded by our customers. Many occupy high profile positions in demanding industries, they require a ‘total satisfaction’ service and that’s exactly what we supply. Our recent achievements demonstrate we have the systems and processes in place to meet our standards. We are also proud of our ‘work hard with the right team’ ethics, employing personnel with specialist knowledge to deliver this expanding service.”
