The Group is active in creating and revising standards in the UK and Europe and is represented in Europe by GPRMC, the European composites trade association. The BPF’s Composites Group is kept updated on potential and actual changes to relevant regulations. The Group is particularly interested in issues such as the Styrene Risk Assessment, Construction Products Directive (fire testing and drinking water), Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulations, the EU Chemicals Policy, and publicising the recyclability of composites.
