Firehole Technologies has partnered with engineering and management solutions provider Saratech to market and sell Firehole’s Helius line of software tools.

Saratech provides, amongst other things, analysis and simulation tools and services for engineering companies across a range of industries including aerospace, energy, oil & gas, ship building and automotive. In addition to distributing the Helius product line, Firehole and Saratech plan a joint development of Firehole’s Helius:MCT for Siemens’ FEMAP pre- and post-processor for computer aided engineering (CAE). Helius:MCT is an add-on for commercial CAE packages that delivers state-of-the-art, multi-scale modeling capability for unidirectional and woven fibre-reinforced composite materials.

“The use of composites in product development and manufacturing has increased exponentially in the last few decades. The current CAD CAM tools by themselves are inadequate to address the needs of companies working with composite materials,” said Saeed Paydarfar, CEO of Saratech. “Our partnership with Firehole Technologies allows Saratech to provide customers with advanced composites technology that will improve their products, reduce development costs and shorten time-to-market.”

“As the use of composite materials continues to grow, so too does the need for advanced analysis capabilities. We believe Saratech’s industry expertise and commitment to innovation will be valuable in promoting our composite analysis solutions and extending Helius:MCT to FEMAP users,” said Firehole CEO Jerad Stack.

“Saratech is Siemens PLM’s number 1 channel sales partner in the U.S. We look forward to providing their extensive customer base with our advanced composites analysis tools,” added Firehole VP of Business Development Jason Gies.
