FIPA has expanded its product portfolio to include quick-change systems with innovative SAFE-LOCK; an innovative snap-on mechanism combined with a visual locking indication further improves process safety.

According to FIPA, the SAFE-LOCK mechanism with snap-on function ensures a reliable connection between robot and gripper, which can also withstand strong vibrations and rapid acceleration and thanks to the visual locking indication, the operator can immediately tell if the quick-change system is securely closed and thus ready for operation. Additionally, FIPA say that the pneumatic connectors are always correctly aligned, which adds an extra safety element to the process.

Quick change-systems with SAFE-LOCK are made from high-strength, anodised aluminium alloy and are available in diameters of 50 mm, 90 mm and 150 mm.
