Far-UK has started the development of 4 new processes under the Composite Innovation Cluster project.

The company expects to bring at least 2 processes to market during the project. These processes have been given the code names Process 1, Process 2, Process 3 and Process 4. The most advanced of these is Process 4 and the company exhibited a composite manufactured wheelchair using this process at JEC Paris.

As a winner of the North West Automotive Alliance Annual Innovation Award, Process 4 is designed to enable niche vehicle manufacturers to produce complex shapes with carbon fibre, with the aim of being a cost comparable solution with Aluminium, and offering significant weight reduction through the use of composites.
