Exova has been approved by aircraft manufacturer Embraer to provide material testing services through its laboratory in Toulouse, France.
Approval was granted following a technical evaluation of the Toulouse laboratory and all test-related processes including quality management systems. The range of approved testing includes mechanical, corrosion and composites testing and thermal analysis. Exova explains that its Toulouse laboratory joins its Bridgwater, UK, laboratory as an Embraer-approved facility, increasing capacity to meet the needs of Embraer’s European operations and supply chain.
Stuart Abbs, European Director of Aerospace for Exova, said “As one of the world’s leading aerospace manufacturers, Embraer demands the highest level of expertise from its suppliers. The addition of a second approved European laboratory underlines Exova’s commitment to the provision of technically demanding services to Embraer and the global aerospace supply chain.”
Opened in 2014, Exova says that the new Toulouse laboratory is one of its 18 Nadcap approved testing facilities worldwide, offering materials fatigue testing capability to the European aerospace sector.
