Exel have integrated 2 new production sites into the Exel Webstore 2.0, Melbourne, Australia and Joensuu, Finland.

Exel explains that with this expanded global footprint it can now introduce a wider product portfolio with competitive prices directly from several factories. Exel Melbourne factory is specialised in prepreg tubes – both carbon and glassfibre, that are typically used in water sport and boating applications. Joensuu factory brings a wide range of telescopes, tubes and profiles to Exel’s online customers.

“Exel Webstore 2.0 is a natural step in implementing our digitalisation strategy,” says Mr. Kari Loukola, SVP Sales and Marketing. “Exel Webstore will be expanded to cover all eight Exel production sites globally. Exel Webstore 2.0 enables us to take products from other companies into our online shop. The deliveries of 3rd party products can be made from Exel warehouses or directly from other company warehouses. Exel Webstore 2.0 offers a great channel to introduce the composite products to totally new customers and new applications and thus builds a unique global market platform in composites industry.”

“Exel Webstore 2.0 is the first step also in automation of order delivery process in Exel,” say Ms.Riina Seppänen, Customer Service Manager. “This new platform is increasing our efficiency significantly providing faster order throughput time and short delivery times. This way we can serve our new and existing customers even better. In addition to this we are also able to serve customer segments we had had challenges to reach with traditional direct sales model.”
