Componeering Inc. has recently signed new distribution agreements to expand its sales and support partner network for ESAComp software.

New European distributors include EnginSoft S.p.A. for Italy and IDAC Ltd for the United Kingdom and Ireland. Convergent Mechanical Solutions has become a representative for the United States and Canada.

ESAComp is comprehensive composites design and simulation software developed by Componeering Inc. (Helsinki, Finland). ESAComp can be used as a stand-alone tool for conceptual, preliminary and detailed design of layered composite products. It also interfaces with major finite element software and adds composites specific features to their post processing, such as detailed assessment of composite failure with advanced failure criteria.

ESAComp has been developed with the support of the European Space Agency (ESA), and hence it is widely used by the European aerospace industry. New users come from various industries using high-performance composites.

At JEC Composites Show 2005 in Paris (April 5-7), Componeering introduces a new release of ESAComp with enhanced ANSYS integration. Similar integration is under way for MSC.Patran and ABAQUS with the support of the FE software vendors.
