EPSRC CIMComp will present new developments in textile and 3D reinforcements including quad-axial braiding, tufting with multifunctional threads, and Augmented Reality (AR) training tools at the Composites Engineering show at The NEC, Birmingham, UK.
CIMComp is currently constructing a proposal in response to the EPSRC ‘Future Manufacturing Research Hub’ call and will look to secure £10M funding to deliver a pipeline of fundamental technologies over the next decade to support the UK Composites Strategy, HVM Catapults and industry. The Centre is looking for industry support for this major venture.
During the show, CIMComp will also chair a forum focusing on its core activities, showcasing the culmination of 4 years of research in the area of composites manufacturing. Entitled “Next-Generation Composite Manufacturing Processes”, the forum will take place on 5th November at 13:00, Forum 3 during the show.
