Eclipse Composite Engineering’s manufacturing operations in Utah, US, has achieved the ISO 9001:2015 international quality standard under the scope of “design and manufacture of composite material items for the United States Military and DoD agencies.”

The Eclipse Utah operation manufactures carbon fibre reinforced composites for aerospace, defence and industrial customers, specialising in resin transfer moulding (RTM), vacuum infusion and compression moulding processes. The company also offers a lightweight, military-grade SATCOM antenna technology under its Pioneer product line.

ISO 9001:2015 is a worldwide standard for excellence in quality management systems, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. It lets customers and business partners know that an ISO-certified company has the requisite system and safeguards in place to provide the highest quality products and services.

“While our quality system has been in place for several years, we needed third-party endorsement of the robustness of our system,” says Karl Hawes, General Manager of Eclipse. “The ISO 9001:2015 certification is a critical element to our rapid business growth. Through evidence-based audits, we were able to demonstrate and validate that the Eclipse Quality Management System is robust and suitable for the ISO 9001:2015 standard. This lets our customers know that we are a high quality and low risk solution for supply of composite structures.”
