Direct Tool Company (DTC) has been selected for the business directory of the Green Port renewable energy project in Hull, UK.
The Green Port Hull vision is to capitalise on Hull’s port, industrial presence and infrastructure to take advantage of the offshore wind opportunities in the North Sea. The scheme has received over £300 million in investment from Siemens for a wind turbine assembly and rotor blade manufacturing and service facility.
DTC reports it is rapidly growing its tooling and consumables services to a variety of composite part manufacturing facilities in the renewable energy sector. From working with a wide variety of turbine blade production engineering centres across Europe the company’s product range has diversified significantly to suit these precision engineering operations.
“I recently joined DTC to better serve our growing customer base in the North East and am feeling excited to meet with several businesses involved in this fantastic scheme at Green Port,” explains Matthew Nelson, Technical Sales Manager of Direct Tool Company. “We’re well positioned for serving more renewable energy sectors, as our reputation grows as the tooling and consumable specialists for composite material finishing processes.”
