Dow, Interplastic and CCP Increase Resin Prices

Dow Europe, Interplastic Corporation’s Thermoset Resins Division and Cook Composites and Polymers are to increase their resin prices.

Dow Europe GmbH is announcing a price increase across the European region for all polystyrene resins. Effective October 1, Dow Europe monthly polystyrene prices will rise by 100 Euro per metric ton on all grades of its general purpose polystyrene resins (GPPS), high impact polystyrene resins (HIPS) and STYRON A-TECH* advanced technology polystyrene resins.

Interplastic Corporation’s Thermoset Resins Division is raising the prices of CoREZYN and Silmar brand products. All polyester, vinyl ester, specialty resins, gel coats, colorants, and putties will be increased by $0.06 per pound for all shipments of these products on or after October 16, 2004.

As of October 15, prices for all Cook Composites and Polymers’ resin and gel coat products will increase by $0.06 per pound.
