How we do things is just as important as the solutions we innovate. At K 2019, the world’s leading trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry, taking place from 16-23 October 2019 in Düsseldorf, Germany, DuPont Transportation & Industrial (T&I), a division of DuPont, will demonstrate how this approach can help transform industries, improve lives and empower the world.
Our theme for K 2019, Discovering DuPont, is focused on our collaborative and innovation-driven approach for advanced mobility, enabled connections and smarter healthcare. DuPont works hand-in-hand with customers and develops partnerships that enable us to deliver solutions in these key areas where innovation is critical to help people and economies thrive.
“For DuPont, continuous dialogue is vital, and we believe that the right solution is the result of a successful journey taken together with our customers,” said Randy Stone, President, DuPont Transportation & Industrial. “By listening to them and understanding their requirements and the challenges they face, we can put our expertise to work to help them meet their business needs.”
Highlights at K2019
At DuPont, we’re bringing our longstanding automotive heritage, applications expertise and materials capabilities together to meet the industry’s future needs. Lightweighting continues to drive innovation for both internal combustion engines and alternative drivetrains. At K2019, we will be highlighting our broad portfolio of mobility solutions for today’s and tomorrow’s vehicles. We will present solutions that combine parts and function integration for lightweighting, durability and NVH performance.
As a trusted partner to automotive manufacturers and tier suppliers since the genesis of the automotive industry, DuPont continues to innovate. With the introduction of AHEAD (Accelerating Hybrid-Electric Autonomous Driving), a new initiative designed to bring together customer solutions and material capabilities from across the new DuPont, we are leveraging DuPont’s materials science and electronics expertise to provide a broad portfolio of technology and solutions for the e-mobility market.
DuPont’s solutions enable high-speed, high-frequency, flexible and reliable connections that integrate enhanced design functionality in response to the trends towards miniaturisation and safer connections.
At K2019, we will demonstrate how DuPont’s material science solutions for connection technology support the high-performance applications for connectors, wire and cables, electrical components and consumer electronics which are essential for the development of the electrical and electronics market and associated smart connection technologies. Our non-halogenated, bio-based nylon resins are flame-retardant and meet evolving trends for surface mount connectors. Additionally, our fully-color-compounded and UV laser-marking-enabled PBT products meet automotive OEM safety requirements to clearly indicate high-voltage components in orange for use in hybrid, plug-in, and battery (HV, PEV, BEV) electric vehicles.
As the healthcare industry undergoes a major shift, transforming from a ‘sick-care’ focus to a ‘well-care’ focus, there is a greater need and an opportunity for connected and patient-centric healthcare solutions. Enabling smarter healthcare and positive patient outcomes: DuPont T&I is helping facilitate the next generation of pharma and medical device innovations through our broad healthcare material solutions and expertise.
DuPont is committed to helping improve the patient experience by working with designers and engineers to develop healthcare solutions, including medical devices solutions that enable safe, convenient and effective diagnostics, as well as monitoring and treatment at the point of care to improve the patient experience and compliance. Additionally, DuPont is working with customers to develop pharma solutions used in biopharma processing and drug delivery systems.
