Cytec will be exhibiting one of Team USA’s Olympic Skeletons at JEC Americas at the Georgia World Congress Centre in Atlanta, Georgia, US, 13 – 15 May 2014.

Manufactured by Debotech, Cytec explains that the skeleton uses its MTM series fabric, UD carbon fibre lightweight prepegs and compatible vacuum bagging consumables. Debotech also manufactured Team USA’s bob sleds, which, alongside the skeletons, helped the athletes reach unprecedented success at the recent 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia.

Cytec says visitors will be given the opportunity to learn more about how the company’s state-of-the-art prepreg, resin system and adhesive technologies reduce weight and enable affordability in extreme demand applications at the event.

According to Cytec, CYCOM and MTM out of autoclave products will also feature, alongside PRISM resin infusion products for aerospace applications. These products are designed to support industry requirements for increased flexibility and processing composites for complex aerospace structures. Also featured are the SurfaceMaster advanced surfacing films and the BR water-based primers.
