Cytec Industries will be exhibiting at the upcoming Composites Engineering Show, 11-12 November 2014, Birmingham, UK.

At the show, Cytec states it will promote its product portfolio developed for the motorsport market, which includes lightweight structural prepregs and adhesives films, tooling prepregs, tooling block and compatible vacuum bagging consumables.

According to Cytec it will also promote its tooling composite product range including innovative product formatting, and its CB1100 ceramic tooling block and compatible ancillaries (CB1100 is a high temperature capable master block for direct tooling, offering low CTE and perfect surface finish).

The company explains it will highlight its product developments for the serial automotive market, with a demonstrator part made out of the company’s new rapid cure thermoset prepreg MTM 23 featured on the General Motors Chevrolet Spark electric car.

Cytec says it will also exhibit a part manufactured from unidirectional carbon fibre, utilising an innovative process developed by Cytec and its partners, which requires virtually no direct labour to produce structural components for serial automotive applications in less than five minutes. This component is representative of the complex geometries that the automotive sector is used to working with, particularly when looking at the body in white structures.

Cytec will also promote its process materials range available as roll stock or value-added kits, thereby offering customers the opportunity to enhance their manufacturing capacity while ensuring component quality consistency.

The company states both its commercial and technical teams will be available at the show to meet with existing and potential customers and introduce our products and technologies.

Cytec will be exhibiting at stand D182 at the show.
