CustomGT have created a new sports car with up to 550 hp using fibreglass and carbon fibre reinforced composites.

According to CustomGT the basis of the car is a powder-coated tubular space frame that is made in the USA and re-engineered (homologated) and fine-tuned in Germany. The outer skin is made from either fibreglass- or carbon fibre-reinforced composites, and toned by specialists in the US. CCG say the vehicle is low weight, and depending on the equipment, weighs between 960kg and 1,040 kg.

CCG are planning another model, called “competition”, for spring 2012 and Tom Gerards, Head of CCG Automotive and Creative Director of CustomGT “When converting the customGT model “competition”, we will forgo all luxuries and reduce the weight even more. Weighing in at just below 1,000 kg and by installing additional motor sports components such as sports chassis provided by KW suspension, MOV’IT brakes with racing pads and a special engine mapping, we will optimise the “competition” targeted for use in motor sports”.
