Creative Composites has officially opened a new state-of-the-art quality laboratory at its manufacturing facility in Lisburn, Northern Ireland.
The company supplies composite components to forklift truck manufacturers, luxury car brands, a leading bus manufacturer, vending, construction and other industries. Experienced composite engineers collaborate with global OEMs to develop parts that are manufactured using a range of processes including compression moulding, resin transfer moulding and hand lamination.
The investment in the new quality laboratory comes as part of the company’s strategy to grow the business and maintain the highest standards of product quality and customer service. Advanced inspection equipment such as a Faro laser scanner and Geomagic software ensures that full surface inspections can be carried out with industry leading accuracy. This capability allows Creative Composites to carry out full inspection on composite parts to automotive standards within short timeframes. Additional facilities such as a spectrophotometer, gloss meters and paint adhesion equipment enables Creative Composites to provide composite components which meet automotive Class A standards.
Des Hassett, Quality Manager said “Creative Composites take the quality of our products very seriously. We are delighted to have this new quality laboratory at as it will further enhance our exceptionally high standards within the composites industry.
