Wabash is now offering compression moulding presses with upper tilting platens for easy mould access.

The tilting platen allows for the mould to be cleaned as needed, in some cases between each cycle, dependent upon the application. Applications needing frequent cleaning may include silicone moulding, rubber moulding or other moulding applications requiring access to intricate mould cavities.

The upper tilting platen is hinged on the front and is moved hydraulically, tilting 45 and exposing the upper mold half. This gives the operator better access to quickly and easily clean the mould. The upper tilting platen option is available on nearly any size Wabash compression press.
