The Composites UK Trade Association, in collaboration with specialist marketing service providers Aro PR and Marketing and OB2B Industrial Marketing & PR, has launched a series of new marketing webinars specially developed for the composites industry.
Composites UK explains that there are six key marketing and communications topics covered in these new pre-recorded webinar modules, each lasting 20-40 minutes. Being pre-recorded, each module can be conveniently watched at one’s own time of choosing and learning pace. The webinars currently offered can be individually purchased and then watched on a laptop or desktop at home, in the office, or while travelling by train or plane. The aim is to provide composites business people with a convenient, easy to use way of gaining essential marketing and PR knowledge and skills they currently don’t have but need, or to help those looking for additional training to improve skills in specific areas of marketing and publicity.

According to Composites UK, these new industrial marketing webinars have tailored composites related content and references. Each module provides clear, practical advice and insights to deliver essential marketing activities. The webinars are particularly aimed at small to medium enterprises (SMEs) in the composites sector with limited existing in-house marketing knowledge or expertise; the expectation from Composites UK is that these webinars will especially help Managing Directors and key commercial people in these type of SME companies to gain sufficient confidence to make the first strides to more effectively promote their businesses to the wider community in order to win new customers and grow sales.
Claire Whysall, Communications Manager at Composites UK said, “Over the last few years we’ve run a very well received one day marketing seminar in Birmingham. The course was specially developed for commercial people working in the Composites sector, with both Billy and Nigel involved as course tutors. It became apparent that the level of marketing awareness varied from company to company, and that some companies struggled to release a person for a whole day to attend the course. So, rather than run a set 1 day programme again in 2016, we decided to develop and offer a series of essential Marketing & PR webinar modules from which people could pick and choose in line with individual learning needs.”
Depending on the level of uptake of these new webinars and feedback, the intention is to extend the webinar series with other modules, covering additional marketing and business development related topics in the future.
