On 3 May 2018 at WMG, Warwick, Composites UK will be hosting a marketing seminar for those in the composites sector looking to develop their skills in promoting their products and services.

The event will see marketing experts with experience of the UK composites industry present on topics such as marketing planning, making the most of exhibitions, writing sales communications, videos for manufacturers, working with the press, successful websites, social media and data protection.

Speakers include:

  • Nigel O’Dea, OB2B Industrial Marketing and PR;
  • Billy McKenna, Aro PR and Marketing;
  • Mike Richardson, Composites in Manufacturing magazine;
  • Jeremy Whittingham, Advanced Engineering Show;
  • George Hamilton, Inquisitive Type; and
  • Martin Phillis, Definition Media.

The event is aimed at those who provide marketing support as part of their role but have not had formal training, those just starting out in marketing in the composites industry, or those who simply want to brush up on their skills.

“We have created this new event to support the UK composites supply chain in getting themselves noticed,” explains Claire Whysall, Communications Manager at Composites UK. “In many cases we’ve found that the responsibility of marketing is added in to other job descriptions and can often get overlooked when additional aspects take priority. When done well, marketing can help fulfil the potential of any business.”

“The idea of this seminar is to ensure that those providing the marketing role for their company have the skill set to make the most of the time they have available,” she adds. “The speakers all have the knowledge and understanding of the composites industry and will use real-life examples to aid learning.”

Registration is open via the Composites UK website, with a discount available for members of the association: www.compositesuk.co.uk/marketing-of-composites
