Composites One has reached an agreement to acquire the assets of PolyGard, the largest independent regional distributor of composite materials in the Southeast US.

Founded in 1975, PolyGard services customers primarily in Florida, Georgia, Alabama and North and South Carolina from locations in Tampa and Fort Myers, Florida, and Acworth, Georgia.

In a statement, Leon Garoufalis, Composites One President & COO, said, “PolyGard has a solid reputation for service and customer focus and we are looking forward to incorporating their people along with that focus into our organization. We will work to conduct a seamless transition and leverage the strengths of both organizations to further benefit customers.”

Glenn Emerson, PolyGard President/CEO, spoke highly of the merger. “Composites One is known for value-added services and execution. I am pleased to have PolyGard become part of the Composites One organization because of their experience in successfully consolidating acquisitions and how they care for their employees. I believe the standard and tradition of outstanding service that we have created at PolyGard will continue within Composites One.”
