Composites Engineering Conference to coincide with Composites Engineering

  • Tuesday, 21st August 2012
  • Reading time: about 2 minutes

NetComposites has organised a new technical conference to take place on the 6th November at the NEC Birmingham to compliment to Composites Engineering Show, the showcase exhibition for the UK composites industry.

The conference is designed to highlight the trend towards lightweight structures across many industries which therefore pose considerable challenger to the designer.  It will look at material and manufacturing developments in fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) composites which could offer a solution to this issue, exploiting their high strength-to-weight ratio and excellent durability properties in particular. The event will provide a forum for the exchange of information on this recent trend and follow the process of design through manufacture.

This event is aimed at composite users, material suppliers, manufacturers, environmentalists, designers, engineers, researchers and technicians from industry and academia.

The programme includes speakers from:

·         Delcam

·         e-Xstream Engineering

·         Epsilon Optics

·         MSC Software UK

·         National Composites Centre

·         NetComposites

·         SGS Carbide

·         Surface Generation

·         Tilsatec

·         University of Newcastle

·         University of Northumbria

·         University of Nottingham

The full programme and registration information can be found on the conference website at
