Composite Design Technologies, Inc. (CDT), developer of FiberSIM(TM) software for designing and manufacturing composite products, announced the change of the company name to VISTAGY, Inc. The change reflects a broadening of the company’s mission as a provider of specialized software and services for design and manufacturing engineers. With this expanded business direction, VISTAGY moves forward from ground already established by its market-leading FiberSIM software. A staple of aerospace and automotive design, FiberSIM was instrumental in the development of the Sikorsky S-92 helicopter, the Boeing Delta III rocket, the Joint Strike Fighter from both Lockheed Martin and The Boeing Company, and a number of Formula 1 race cars and high performance automobiles. Other industries benefiting from FiberSIM technology include sporting goods, marine and medical equipment manufacturers. Over the years, engineers using VISTAGY software have documented such striking results as cutting product development time by 50 percent, eliminating over 90 percent of engineering change orders, and reducing manufacturing time on first parts by up to 75 percent. VISTAGY, Inc., founded in 1991 as Composite Design Technologies, Inc., was the first company to develop associative software tools that facilitate composite materials design directly within the computer-aided-design modeling environment. Customers for VISTAGY’s market-leading FiberSIM software include more than 80 companies worldwide. FiberSIM enables engineers to capture, manage and share critical design and manufacturing information for composite engineering.
