Chomarat has received DNV GL certification for its range of glass and carbon multiaxial reinforcements for the marine market, available under the brand names G-Ply and C-Ply.

“By developing innovative reinforcements made from fibreglass or carbon, we can improve the performance of composite parts and meet the specific demands of the marine market – reduced weight, improved surface finish and better resin flow. Chomarat is a leader in the marine reinforcements market. Our DNV GL certification confirms this expertise and proves that we are now ready to conquer new markets requiring this qualification,” said Vincent Cholvy, Marine Market Manager at Chomarat.

Chomarat claims that its expertise in the manufacturing processes of composite parts (infusion, RTM and RTM Light) enables it to support customers in reinforcement design and material choice. “Engineers at our plants are also able to measure and simulate the permeability of reinforcements and structures, mechanical performance and the quality of surface appearance on finished parts,” explained Claude Chabal, Product Manager.
