Chem-Trend is introducing new release agents for the composite industry, Chemlease 2185 and Chemlease 2191W, at the JEC Composites Show in Paris.
Chemlease 2185 semi-permanent, hybrid release agent is designed to allow for transition from wax release technology. Chem-Trend say that the use of a semi-permanent release agent contributes to economic gains for customers currently using wax based release agents due to reduced down time achieved by much faster application of the product, its ability to provide multiple releases, extension of tool life, and elimination of unnecessary wax buildup that would require extensive tool cleaning.
Chemlease 2191W water-based release agent is designed for epoxy prepregs, including use in the aerospace industry. According to Chem-Trend, the release agent is especially effective for vacuum bagged epoxy carbon fiber prepreg components and provides an alternative to customers desiring to move to a water-based system from one that is solvent-based.
Chem-Trend will be located in Booth number J 56, and the company its 50th anniversary in 2010.
