Chariot Manufacturing Company, Inc. has begun production in its new facility in Tampa, Florida.
“”Our new production facility consists of four buildings, which will separate the various stages of production in the fiberglass process. Substantially more space has been made available for the demand evidenced by the calls and requests for proposals over the last eight weeks. Outstanding proposals now exceed $200,000. We have been unwilling to convert these proposals to orders and take deposits until we were able to give delivery dates,”” commented Daniel L. Hefner, President and Chief Executive Officer of American Commerce Solutions, Inc.
Hefner continued, “”We expect to gain substantial momentum as we make it known that Chariot is back up and running. The call and e-mail volume has remained high, despite the fact that Chariot Manufacturing had ceased all sales and marketing activity after the prior owners sold the production and assembly facility in preparation for the sale of the company. The revenue generated from that sale made the corporation debt-free at the time American Commerce Solutions, Inc. acquired Chariot. We have paid cash for all improvements and have only inter-company debt.””
According to Hefner, plans are being made for representation and marketing at the major “”bike”” shows, such as Daytona’s Bike Week and the gathering at Sturgis. These high-traffic shows provide an excellent opportunity for widespread recognition of the Chariot product and have been invaluable over the years as a marketing venue.
“”We continue to have high expectations for this division of American Commerce Solutions, Inc. No expense has been spared in preparation for the opportunity to develop Chariot Trailers into a multi-million dollar operation,”” Hefner said.
Hefner continued, “”Negotiations with current and new suppliers, retooling of molds, staffing, refinement of marketing materials and contacts with current and prospective dealers are ongoing. Our fiberglass consultants continue to analyze how to maximize the opportunities that this company affords American Commerce Solutions, Inc. in the coming years.””
Hefner reiterated that Chariot Trailers was the first of several acquisition targets in the fiberglass industry that are being pursued.
