CEL Components is set to showcase a turn-key manufacturing system for prepreg production at the Composites Engineering exhibition.

According to CEL, the TG-50 and TG-60 machines are designed to open-up prepreg production to companies previously deterred by the high levels of capital investment. It says the machines offer a comprehensive system for prepreg production that is more cost-effective than anything currently available.

CEL will be on stand 342, hall 1, of the Birmingham NEC on the 7th and 8th November as part of the Composites Engineering Show 2012.

Designed and engineered by California-based Tipton-Goss, CEL says the machinery package covers everything from training in resin formulation and mixing through to prepreg processing for industrial or aerospace use.CEL provides access to the Tipton-Goss training facility where training in all aspects of industrial and aerospace-grade prepreg production is available from renowned expert Guy Riddle and his team.

CEL director Andrea Vacchi Suzzi said the versatility and cost-effectiveness of the production system offered more companies than ever the benefits of in-house prepreg. “There are a number of advantages,” he said. “From developing exclusive products and controlling the supply of raw materials to reducing the costs of investing in large inventory stocks and frozen storage.”

The TG-50 and TG-60 machines offer a fully functional production facility. “The compact and simple machinery is designed for all types of users and is able to satisfy the highest expectations, from space to sporting goods applications,” said Andrea.
