Century Design (CDI) will be launching the new addition to their range of Prepreg machines, the CDI small production prepreg machine JEC Europe next week.
According to CDI the Prepreg machine has been developed with ease of use and cost effectiveness in mind, and is targeted at small to medium composite parts producers who want to better control their materials and processes and reduce their material costs. CDI explain their new production prepreg machine has a small footprint, so that the machine can be installed into a range of facilities and boasts enhanced set up and operation features to facilitate both small and large run production and prototyping.
CDI will also launch TIP (Total Integration Program) which they say is a fully comprehensive program delivering the design, technology, processes and implementation for advanced composite material manufacturing facilities. They explain that TIP is primarily focused around Prepreg manufacturing operations and related downstream activities, ensuring that users of CDI prepreg technologies are fully capable and self-sufficient in the implementation of new machinery.
Following its launch last year, CDI say they are now focused on the expansion of the TIP system to cover material certification for all materials and major markets. This new module is designed to provide additional support to customers seeking to enter the composite materials market by providing them a program to insure that they enter the market quickly with the highest quality products.
“CDI is the pioneer in composite material processing machines, with over 54 years’ experience in the development of composite technology. We are all excited about this new phase of development within the organisation as well as the opportunity to provide our customers with tomorrow’s cost effective composite processing solutions”, comments Keith McConnell, President of CDI.
